Ikaruga developer pledges original shooter for Xbox 360
Treasure, makers of such quintessential shooter titles Radiant
Silvergun (Saturn) and Ikaruga (Dreamcast, GameCube), have announced an original shooter game for the Xbox 360.
Ikaruga, while not a huge seller for consoles, was highly regarded as an insanely hard game, and anyone who could show
some skill in the game was revered for his or
her awesome power.
While the announcement of an original title may upset fans hoping for an Ikaruga 2, fear not - very likely the game
announced will still be an insanely difficult top-down shooter with gorgeous visuals. While it may not have the title,
it will still be a spiritual successor, much like Ikaruga was for Radiant Silvergun.

wooohoooo, we've been starved of these types of games on XBox

Does anyone know where you can get Ikaruga cheap? Most stores online & not don't seem to carry it.

I love Ikaruga... SOOO much, so this is the best news I've heard all day! The Xbox 360 as a choice of platform is questionable to say the least, but whatever. New Treasure Shooter! Yay!

BP -
I had bought Ikaruga the week it came out on GameCube, a few years back, for $40, then got stupid and sold it to GameStop (that was a mistake) about a year later. Just this weekend I picked it up at a local GameStop...for $25. But, y'know, I was willing to pay that, so it's my own damn fault.

Ikaruga is worth owning a GameCube for.
This will make an X360 worth owning.
For anyone looking for it, you're gonna have a hard time. It was like monster rancher for PS1... Awesome niche game(in todays market), so limited supplies and it got discontinued before it took off.
Nanostray for the DS or Star Soldier for the PSP are great ways to tide yourself over until then.

Hmm, I'm surprised nobody has mentioned Radiant Silvergun yet. THE best space shooter of all time IMO. Even eclipsing the all mighty Ikaruga. Ikaruga a second though.

I can beat Ikargu (normal mode) without unlimited continues. Does this make me 1337? Sweet.
I've also bought 2 copies, because I lost one or something, no idea where it went, and found another one used and just had to get it back.
