A week ago we blogged about the announcement that Metal
Gear Acid 2 for the PSP will require a peripheral to view sections of the game in 3D. What we didn't have at that time
was a shot of the peripheral itself. What you can see on the right is that peripheral in action. Talk about neck
straining!
Engadget has a picture of the device with a PSP attached
and even there it looks ungainly and frankly, pointless. The distribution will be more expensive than it needs to be
for a PSP game, the device will probably only be used for a fraction of the game length and the actual usage of the
device (as the picture on the right shows) is impractical and looks silly to say the least.
And the main point is; why do we need to see Metal Gear Acid 2 in simulated 3D? None of the other Metal Gear Solid games have needed any extra accessories to entertain the player.
