Some clever fellow has managed to figure out a
buffer overflow condition for Sony's
PlayStation Portable device. This means that programmers can now create and run custom programs on the PSP, opening up
the potential for unofficial applications to run homebrewed games, custom applications and even pirated games.
Homebrew for PSPs running version 2.0 is still a ways off, but this was an important step in making the device hospitable to homebrew gaming.
