A guy called "Firefly" over at the Gizmondo Forums (not the official one, that would be silly) is claiming that's he's created a crack for the Gizmondo that allows him to run unsigned code. Unfortunately, the only proof in the thread that he's done so is a single shot of "Hello World!" on a Gizmondo's screen.
In another thread on the same forum — and we don't mean the thread where they're trying to fool the world by recording Halo and playing the video on a Gizmondo — there's a quite mysterious list representing features of a possible SDK (Software Development Kit). He looks to be trying to create a custom Windows CE SDK that allows users to create and run custom software.
The features which we could be seeing range from the basic (button support) right up to the advanced (gps latitude, longitude support). But we don't care about that stuff, we want the games. Although Firefly hasn't mentioned any emulation plans, a few of the forum members have mentioned wanting to get N64 emulation running, which might be a little hard considering the lack of an analog stick on the Gizmondo. Stay tuned for any updates if or when we get 'em.
