Halo 3 exposed in UK magazine?

PS3 is dead? Notorious French gaming site, jeux-france.com, has posted the cover image for the November issue of Xbox World 360—and it's a doozie. The information the site gives is vague, and further hindered by a shoddy Google translation. But now, all eyes are locked on X05 in Amsterdam (October 4th-5th). Will we get the official Halo 3 announcement? Or is this just another dirty hoax? If anyone has seen this issue of Xbox World 360, please, do tell…

I don't know if this is for real...but lets say it is...the most important thing is HALO 3, but I don't know what to say about that... given its just a pic. But I'm curious, at the top it says "NEW LOOK," is that referring to the magazine's format (I don't read it), or the look of the xbox 360, cause in the pic it looks vaguely silverish...just wondering

I think this cover is a fake. I'm pretty down on Microsoft and their XBOX hype machine, but I don't even think they'd condone a "The PS3 is dead" cover before the PS3 even arrives. The PS3 will more than likely sell more in a month than the 360 sells in its first year. Whatever.

LOL this will steam up some PS3 fanboys. Everybody is waiting for Sony to announce their marketing strategy. The title may refer to the idea that MS is releasing Halo3 at PS3 launch day, which MS believes will disrupt PS3 sales.

I could see XBOX World putting something as idiotic as, "The PS3 is Dead" on their cover. I could see XBOX World putting naked albino midgets in their magazine if it would sell an extra copy. The magazine is real. I had the misfortune of coming across an issue when I was in England. It's beyond biased. Saying "XBOX World" is "biased" would be like saying Hitler was, "sort of messed up." Here's how they describe themselves:
"Xbox World is the countrys leading independent Xbox magazine. Were 100% unofficial, which means were 100% honest in everything we write."
WHICH MEANS WE'RE 100% HONEST IN EVERYTHING WE WRITE.
Hmm.

I guess it must be true.

I'd hate to be reading Xbox World 360's story on how Halo 3 is totally going to roxxors the PS3 without being assured that XBox World 360 is totally unbiased in its coverage of Xbox 360's relentless awesomeness and inevitable domination of all gaming.
And the word "Unbiased" right up there at the top of the magazine is exactly the assurance I require.

I think they mean unbias concerning reviews of xbox hardware and software...not their opinions of other gaming machines...
I'm a Nintendo REv and Sony PS3 fan myself...should be interesting what they do with Halo 3 franchise....I will consider it dead though if they use that F'ing Unreal 3 engine...which makes for the most generic, plasticy looking, over normal-mapped games out there.
In fact that's how i'm going to be judging the next gen of games...any games on PS3 and XBOX360 that use the Unreal 3 engine will be kicked down a few notches in my book for lazy genericness.

yes the magazine is real, i got my subscription through to post the other day. and guys, don't critisize the magazine without ever reading it. Yes, it is an xbox only magazine, and yes it is biased, not that much, but thats neither here nor there, it is funny nonetheless, which is what i like about it. ANYWAY...to the article, the front page, quite frankly, is a let down, a misleading one at that. All the article is, is some reader's sending in there views on what the next halo should bring to the table, and that is it, nw confirmations, no screens. I think the only reason they did this was for more copies that needed to be sold, because, it is quite a poor edition to be honest, anyway, there's you confirmation of the non-confirmation of halo 3, sorry about that, Cheers, Dan

Microsoft is shooting themselves in the foot if they are still going foreward to releasing Halo 3 along side the PS3. Everyone who wants a PS3 will get a PS3. Regardless of the competators released titles.
If MS wastes the thunder of Halo 3 on a console release, what will they have to answer back the release of Devil May Cry 4, Metal Gear Solid 4 and Gran Turismo 5, Final Fantasy 13 among other games... All these titles will be released well after the launch of the PS3. And it's these headliner games that solid the PS2 in the first place.
It will be a brutal onslaught if all those games are released within a year of each other. Though I doubt it'll happen.

You've gotta expect console magazines to be biased.
Of course they don't have a fair comparison.
Does anyone think that Halo 2 will shut out the competition? No. Not really.
If anything the release of a console will take precedent in people's interest over a videogame.
There's too much hype when it comes to videogames. Personally, I can enjoy most videogames, whether they're new old or whatever.
And theres too much bitching as well...
Seriously. Xbox 360 is going to be okay, so is the PS3 and the Revolution.
The only thing holding the Xbox back is the fees for everything and the cost of the initial console and the cost of the accesories and etc ... etc...
Seriously, $100 dollars for a HD?!
I know they need to make a profit, but seriously I know it didn't cost them $100 to produce a 20 gig (or was it 40 gig?) HD, In fact I know it probably costed them less than ten dollars to produce it.
Microsoft is just taking a loss with this. I mean, sure, you're going to get all the hardcore gamers who are obsessed with the first Xbox playing, but there aren't going to be many new customers in fact, theres probably going to be less sales than the original Xbox, I can count on that.

I doubt that one will sell better than the other. The xbox fanboys will buy the xbox360 for Halo 3 and maybe other games, the ps2 fanboys will buy the ps3 for Killzone 2 and maybe other games and the ninteno fanboys will buy the revolution for all the 1,458,231 Mario games that will come out for the revolution. None will sell ridiculously more than the other. It will be just like the consols that are out right now.

I don't care if this cover is real or not but for something that says "unbiased" and then says "PS3 is DEAD" well... you can do the math... I think?
Meh, Microsoft knows they are in trouble, and they have known that since the second quarter of the xbox. I don't care who wins the console race because companies that make games will continue to make games regardless of what console they have to make it for. Although my best bet is that it will come back to Nintendo vs Sony once again and probobly sega will return and try to compete as they have mentioned that they might in 10-15 years. I just hope that competition will exist, that is all that matters, at least 2 companies put in war in order to make better games and consoles.

Um, there is virtually no way of all or any of those games selling the exact same amount. They all will sell a lot, some more, some less, and none the same.

This isn't the announcement of Halo 3. Bungie has dispelled the rumor. Oh well you can bet in www.origenxbox360.com something will happen soon in the next 13 hours. Maybe the revealing on Halo3. Maybe they could have Halo3 when the ps3 launches in North America, since Halo 2 lacked and they maybe decided to have it that way. They probably knew that Xbox360 was going to come out. I remember seeing Halo2 footage before it came out and it was nothing like the footage which maybe they are doing for the Xbox360.

(1)"XBOX WORLD" is a Real Magazine (quite bad writing etc) and they have an Unbelievably annoying 'habit' of Misleading covers/articles
(2)The "Unbiased" statement is More about, the games reviews etc, (they claim as they are not "associated with and are independant of Microsoft.. blah blah..")
(3) The "New Look" Means the New look of the magazine
(4)It is published by Future Publishing, who publish hundreds of Mags etc including Various "Official" and "Unofficial" Magazines of Competing Hardware/consoles etc
(5)Sony, Microsoft, Nintendo etc etc dont make Money on the Consoles, its all about the games and sales of same. Software is where these companies make their Money..
(6)People say this and that about the Halo Games, and truth is if your a Gamer with a soul and an open mind (whatever platform) you'll know that Halo Was a breathtaking experience, Halo 2 stunning beyond anything else on console, and Halo 3? well lets wait and see..
i've no doubt it'll sell well, but, it Needs to have the impact the other two games had with its energy, gameply and emotion, very few games achive that.. i cant wait
i have, or have had at one time, over the last 17 odd years nearly every console, game machine/computer etc released i love gaming

with out halo 3 under its belt the PS3 is screwed i mean they might try to make them selfs feel better about not having halo by making another kill zone but thats it

Alright, this is getting ridiculous. People seriously need to chill out. Those who say the 360 will suck are wrong, also those who say the PS3 will suck are wrong. I am planning on buying both and enjoying the best of what each has to offer. If some of you could stop being fanboys for one second and even attempt to look at what the other has to offer you might learn something. But when your heads are already that far up your asses what hope is there of you returning to the real world.
