Valve has released Day of Defeat: Source, an update of the original mod for
Half-Life. The new Day of Defeat joins Counter-Strike and Half-Life 2 under the
Source game engine banner. The new version features the original maps updated with HDR lighting as well as new models
for everything from players to weapons to in-game objects. It also features ragdoll physics, courtesy of Havok, as well
as a $19.99US price tag, courtesy of Valve. The game is available through
Valve's Steam online game distribution system.
In response to the release of Day of Defeat: Source, nVIDIA has made available a beta graphics card patch
that fixes issues in relation to Day of Defeat and nVIDIA cards. You can download the beta patch at the read link
