A couple of outspoken games industry veterans today launched a new startup designed to sell
indie games via direct download. The way they see it, there's been enough
bitching about how many great
games are out there and how broke the current distribution model is. According to the founders of Manifesto Games,
good indie games exist, there are players who want to play them, and the technology for digital distribution is
proven.
Here's hoping that the venture takes off and makes good on its lofty promises. It's going to take more than a couple of rants to break out of the rut that some believe we're in.
