Rooster Teeth creates new machinima series; P.A.N.I.C.S

P.A.N.I.C.S. People Acting Normal in Crazy-Ass Situations

Rooster Teeth, the creators of arguably the most well known machinima series, Red vs Blue, have started up another series. P.A.N.I.C.S—which stands for "People Acting Normal in Crazy-Ass Situations"—is a satirical take on the upcoming first person shooter: F.E.A.R. The series will be a four episode limited run (with an extra bonus episode on the F.E.A.R. DVD) which will be released in the run-up to the game's release in October.

The series is both based in F.E.A.R's game engine and inspired by its storyline. The first episode features a five member squad of anti-ghost soldiers, who really aren't prepared to drive away the spirits they're hired to fight.

"They arm us with a machine gun capable of firing 300 rounds a second and they expect us to fight spirits?! C'mon, what's this thing gonna do?"

Despite the limitations of using an unmodified version of the game engine, the Rooster Teeth guys have managed to create specific characters which we can't wait to see develop as the series progresses. Although it looks like one of the team won't be developing much from this episode onwards. Check out the first episode at the "Read" link below, just remember not to P.A.N.I.C.S…

[Thanks, Kendal]
