Silicon Knights' Too Human is a game that has been very long in development – over 5 years in development, to be exact, since it was originally slated to come out in 2000 as a PlayStation One game. The trailer has just been released on the Internet and it is very pretty. While showing no in-game footage, the cinematic teaser does reveal to what extent Silicon Knights has grasped the Unreal 3 Engine.
The trailer begins, as most stylish games do (Xenogears, anybody?), with a quote from Nietzsche:
Whoever fights monsters should see to it that in the process he does not become one himself. The teaser
continues with footage of men fighting robotic giants, and one person ? presumably the protagonist ? showing off his
badass prowess with pistols and a sword. It is a short trailer, but impressive to see nonetheless ? if a 5-year old
game can still impress visually, could there still be hope for the likes of Duke Nukem Forever?
The official Xbox 360 website has the trailer hosted
here, but if you
cannot get it to work IGN has it in both Quicktime and Windows Media formats available for
download. What do you think of the footage?
