Alone in the Dark announced for Xbox 360
Atari has confirmed that an Alone in the Dark installment is in development for Xbox 360—also rumored to be in the works for PlayStation 3. While few details have been revealed, the selection of screens that has been released certainly grabs our attention (but are they in-game?). Alone in the Dark 360 (working title) is said to feature highly detailed, free-roaming, fully interactive environments. Will Eden's game be the next-gen survival horror title to beat?

After the movie, I really don't feel like ever playing this series again.

Why? Beyond the title, the movie and the game were completely and utterly unrelated.

so i guess you never played another mario game after that horrible movie?

That maybe the cause, But any time I hear the name I can only think about that God awful movie. And I have a feeling alot of people who never played the orignal games will think the same way too.
Its hard to look at a game the same way after Uwe Boll makes a really bad movie about it. I can't even look at House of the Dead the same way any more.

I actually thought the Mario Bros movie was pretty cool for what it was. Infact I bought it on DVD when I found it. Back then I didn't expect much for VideoGame based movies, the FX were not there, so you made due with what you had. Bowser would have never worked back then. But I found Mario Bros to be a good adaptation of the game.
But today with the technology, If they were to make a new Mario Bros movie I would expect to see something more along the lines of the game with a CGI Bowser. Also the movies should be entertaining like the game and not 100% pure crap. I mean really who in their right mind enjoyed Alone in the Dark or House of the Dead?

This game looks pretty interesting. I remember playing Alone in the Dark on my Sega Dreamcast and ejoying it.
CaptinAmerica, you're getting into a different area about the movies and seems like you're looking for film discussion.House of the Dead was a piece of trash put that didnt stop me from pumping quarters into House of the Dead III and shooting zombies in the face.

Who cares about the movie. Your not goingto play the game because the movie was crap. So was Sprits Within. And there's still final fantasy fans out there who could care less. What matter's is that the game looks very good. And its free-roam. What more could you ask for a free roaming horror game. Thats awsome! It reminds when i played Alone in the dark the new nightmare on my PSX.(only, it wasn't free-roam)
