id Software boss Todd Hollenshead let the Nazi out of the bag at X05 in Amsterdam this week by proclaiming the follow up to Return to Castle Wolfenstein will "lead" on the Xbox 360. id will again collaborate with Quake 4 developer Raven Software on the currently untitled WWII-themed shooter. No release date for the 360 version was announced, but the game will most likely land on the PC (and possibly the PS3) later next year. A video clip was also shown of John Carmack touting the 360's "superior development environment." Opinions aside, one thing is certain about this game - recently dismissed Adrian Carmack will not be providing draft work.

tom, I can appriciate that you are happy about the X360 coming out. I hear your excitment and understand your desire to share your happiness.
But tom, coming off like a snot-nosed whiny 9-year old with a full diaper really makes the other 'gamers' out there look bad. Grow up and enjoy the fact that we are about to have the greatest selection of decent systems ever.
I see you have issues with Sony, you have issues with the Playstation3, you have issues that MS is not the end-all and be-all of gaming and need to deflect that insecurity by attacking a system that is not even out yet by promoting a system that is not out either.
What it comes do to tom, is you just have issues.
As for the game, I look forward to seeing it in action... but have low hopes for a Carmack game.

Did anyone read the article or did they just choose to ignore this sentence:
"No release date for the 360 version was announced, but the game will most likely land on the PC (and possibly the PS3) later next year."
No PC or PS3 tears for the Xbots.

I second #4's post.
If you'd like to make yourself look like a X360/PS3 whore, atleast wait until the actual system is released.

"listen" tom,
I'm going to get you a box of periods and capital letters so you can actually form sentences that normal people can read.

The concept art for this game looked promising at X05, I'm sure ID will make another great game. And it's about time more developers use the strength of the Xbox 360, because most games I saw, had PC graphics. Except for Gears of War and a couple other games.

Well, I would never buy the 360 version in a million years, but maybe I'll finally be able to uninstall rtcw from my pc when this comes out. I just hope the don't screw up the multiplayer like they did in ET.

Good news, as I love RTCW, especcially online (Enemy Territory). I'll be buying this.

FYI this is a Raven developed game, not Id, just Id property. Raven makes very high quality work and Q4 will speak for itself. Also take a look at the 2 XMen Legends games both great works. Anyone remember Soldier of Fortune or Jedi Knight 2? That was Raven. Id will of course have some say, but the quality of work will come from Raven.

Oh Spiza...we know splash damage screwed up the multiplayer...not activision or ID ;)
