Republik Games is still about six months from launching Spend the Night, but the
battery-assisted buzz has already begun. Spend the Night is an adults-only social game designed to provide men
and women (and men and men, and women and women, and men and women and women—we think you get the point) with an online
environment in which to act out their keyboard-fouling fantasies.
The skeptic in us asks what's to prevent this from being yet another opportunity for misanthropic males to grief earnest horndogs a la The Crying Game, but Republik's designing the game so that it's "geared towards" women.
Next Generation quotes company CEO Robert Coshland as saying that "women respond better to our concept than men." Hear that explosion just now? Some opportunistic, anti-games politician's head just asploded.
