The people at Namco have been pretty good at releasing official car
renders from Ridge Racer 6 for the Xbox 360, but the lack of other details was starting to make us think the
drifting series might miss launch day (like its corporate sibling
Frame City Killer). Well, worry no more, Reiko
Nagase fans: RR6 is launching with the 360,
and it's brought some screenshots for you to enjoy today, even though there's no Japanese spokesperson in sight.
(IGN says that "once you've cleared certain conditions,
she'll send you letters!" Joy!!)
For direct links to all the 16 screenshots released, you can check out the not-so-compressed gallery from
File Rush or the
smaller-in-file-size (but sporting the same dimensions) gallery over at
1UP (where the navigation between images can be seen as either
more or less handy than that at FR). IGN's got a
gallery, too, but the simple navigation is limited to basic previous and next buttons. Any way you go, however,
you're basically getting the same pictures, just with different news-site watermarks.
At any rate, hopefully our concerns (that the latest home
version of Ridge Racer might have been rushed to meet the launch date) prove unfounded.
[Thanks, Brandon,
bandersnatch]
