A timeline of video and computer games
has been released online, but it may not be quite what you'd expect.
Rather than a simple top-20 (or top-100 or 1000) list of games, the timeline basically consists of a litany of
corporate moves by the gaming industry. Of course, any compilation of the bigger news items dating back to the '50s
will inevitably involve a who's who of the industry's movers and shakers, so it's interesting just to skim through it
for the landmark moments in gaming's past (all the way through 2004).
Of course, there will be seminal personalities and industry milestones missing from the list, but that's what lists
are typically known to engender. Are any of your favorite (or not-so-favorite) moments missing?
