Nintendo's Game Boy Micro has always been a tough sell to hardcore gamers – the screen is too tiny, there is no
point in a third iteration of aged hardware, etc. – but 200,000 units sold since its launch last month is quite an
achievement. An even more interesting statistic is that the Game Boy Micro sold 38,000 more units in its first week of
availability than the Game Boy Advance SP during its first week.
Possibly to celebrate this accomplishment (or just because they happened to like offering a lot of options), Nintendo
is releasing a new special edition of the Game Boy Micro. The skin, pictured, is black and red with just a hint of
Pikachu to the right of the screen. No word on a US release (still waiting for the hip
Famicon model), but would you be interested in a skin like
this?
