Here's the scenario: former Intel CEO Craig R. Barrett approaches VooDoo PC founder Rahul Sood in the schoolyard and threatens to give Sood a wedgie if he doesn't vote for Barrett and all his buddies for class officers. At least that's what Sood would like us to believe. He feels Intel abandoned his company after VooDoo helped them make inroads into the gaming market. "We've had allocation issues, where if we don't play ball, we don't get our [Intel chips]", Sood contends. One company that doesn't need convincing is AMD, who filed a lawsuit against Intel earlier this year claiming the industry-leading chip manufacturer "coerces" PC makers into increasing market share for its Pentium processors. Intel says AMD's allegations are unfounded, but has declined to comment on Sood. The VooDoo boss also mentions Dell's entrance into the gamer PC market as a reason why communications with Intel are all but nonexistent these days. I don't hear Michael Dell complaining about Intel abuse, but then he's probably too busy playing WoW.
