A Russian web site has posted a fresh batch of screen shots from The Witcher, an RPG from Polish developer CDProjekt, who was responsible for translating and publishing the Baldur's Gate series throughout Central Europe. The game is based on the popular fantasy novels from Polish writer Andrzej Sapkowski and is powered by an enhanced version of Bioware's Aurora engine (used in Neverwinter Nights). You guide the main character of these novels, Geralt, through a fantasy world where good and evil are ill-defined. Much like Fable, the moral choices you make will determine your path through the game and which of the three endings you will see.
A release date has not been set, but CDProjekt has stated that The Witcher will debut in Europe and a North American release will be dependent on when they find a distributor. The game has been demoed at E3 for the past two years so hopefully we'll see it before next summer.
