Jacko keeps making vague threats against the authors of all the "open letters" going around, saying 'stop, or else'. Or else what? What have they done illegal? He talks alot, but will he really file suit? Does he even have a case? If so, how many suits of this type does it take before he has to spend more of his time dealing with them and less on his anti-gamer crusade? Would it be worth it? idk

When this guy is on his death bed what is he going to think when he looks back on his life and see how much of it was a failure?

He's an A-1 NUTBOY. Sue me, Jack! Make me famous! I'll use the platform of being sued by America's wackiest lawyer to alert the world to the fact that you're a nutcase and a joke.

Jack, Jack, Jack. . . You assume all gamers are "twits" or "idiots" and in that you're just plain wrong. I guarantee you that I'd wipe the mat with you in any IQ test, as would a lot of the "gamer twits" you're screaming about. Don't try to match wits with the geeks, man. You'll lose.

No, but he'll probably blame his death on violent video games.

Once again, just like to mention that Penny Arcade (the wonderful masterminds behind the incredibly successful Child's Play charity) stepped up to bat and donated ten grand in Jack's name. What a loser.

Am I the only one who thinks that photo looks like a 65-year-old Jon Stewart? 'The Daily Show' in 2025?

I would also like to mention ANOTHER charity (which was actually founded BEFORE Child's Play)...

http://get-well-gamers.org/

...they are also a great organization as well. Feel free to contact them if you want to donate old games and systems. They are actually helping the Red Cross with providing systems for the hurricane shelter victims.

The dude who's game was released first should sue Jack Thompson for breach of verbal contract. You'd only get $500 but it would be hilarious. (By making an open ended offer, in good faith (you can't change your mind later), and having someone accept it and come through on their side of the contract, Jack Thompson is bound by his own words. (This has all the elements of a contract: consideration, good faith, offer and acceptance) And Jack calls himself a lawyer.)

Jago:

Thanks for the link. I had run across them before, when I was looking for game based charities to donate to that were local to me. Don't get me wrong, Child's Play is fine, but that only helps kids in the Seattle area, and I believe charity should start close to home.

Jack Thompson is like the Rush Limbaugh for video games. Always muckraking and being alarmist based on twisted ideological gobbeldygook.

Alkaiser:
Child's Play was limited to Seattle the first year. Last year, there were 5 hospitals registered...1 in Seattle, 2 in California, 1 in Texas, and 1 in Washington D.C. They've mentioned recently that they'll be going worldwide this year. This still may not have an effect locally to you or me, but at least they're expanding their efforts.
