I can't wait till this movie comes to the UK. I always wanted to know what happens after the ending of FF7. It's like a dream come true :D.

"While it boasted an impressive voice cast (and a hit single for Wong Faye)"

---What are you talking about, Alan? I think you are confused, that song by Faye Wong(or Wong Faye) is the track from FFVIII, Eyes on Me. Unless I'm mistaken, the Spirits Within soundtrack doesn't have a single vocal track.

It's like...
FF8 had "Eyes on Me"
FF9 had "Melodies of Life"
FFX had "Sudeki da Ne"

All vocal tracks that give huge boosts for their already famous performers.

It actually appeared in the Chinese version of the film soundtrack, probably because Wong Faye is Chinese and they wanted to hype the film. :)

"Apparently, The Piano Tuner of Earthquakes and Sympathy for Lady Vengeance weren’t big draws."

because OMGZ! derz no blood or voilence or anyfing!11

Funny, i found Advent Children to be EXTREMELY predictable, nothing but fan-service, cheesy (i mean, the ending?!), foul storyline. Isn't FF all about the story?
a good tagline would be "Final Fantasy Advent Children; If FF7 never existed you wouldn't watch this!"

I believe the "popular Asian music artist who sometimes sing in English tied to this Square product" was L'Arc en Ciel this time. They have the last track (on the Asian version of the OST?) Spirit Dreams Inside.

Utada Hikaru sang "Simple and Clean" for Kingdom Hearts.

So Spirit Dreams Inside didn't make the english OST?

Still, Faye Wong is the FF8 person than, not the Spirits Within songstress?

Yes, FFVIII, but also the Chinese (Mandarin) version of Spirits.

I really never got all the hype about Advent Children, and even after I saw it, I didn't like it all too much. All I can say is: one has to trade something for another. Always.

For me FFVII Advent Children seemed very open-ended, as if they are thinking about doing a sequel.

I like Star Wars, the light sabre action in Ep3 was good, but Advent Children just wipes everything out. The action, the story…I mean it’s just beyond words! Vey atmospheric!! It brought back a segment of my life I’d forgotten!! I had a hard time remembering the story from the game; the movie still doesn’t make complete sense to me, after watching it twice. I need to replay the game really, but it took my life over last time...
The soundtrack is awesome! 'One Winged Angel' should be played in rock clubs!!
