Take2's peripheral-producing subsidiary JOYTECH has revealed the first officially licensed third-party Xbox 360
accessories, including a wired controller, digital AV cables, a Live headset, a steering wheel, and a component AV
switcher.
From a consumer standpoint, it's always great to get cheaper third-party peripherals as long as they're up to the same
(if not better) quality as first-party products. What's special about JOYTECH's products is their versatility: the
component cables and component switcher both provide S-Video, composite, and optical connections. (The same goes for
SCART cables for European gamers.)
At least the faceplates are a relative bargain at $9.99 for one, or $14.99 for a double pack. British pricing for the
other peripherals can be found here; U.S. residents can check out
an incomplete pricing list over at TeamXbox
here.
