I hope its good. I'm still kind of clueless on how you will use the controller. I mean, how do you play football with it?? I'm excited about REVO and will definetly get it, but how does the controller work??

I'm glad the system is getting some support. I'm still hoping for a Nights game from Sega. Could you imagine a 3D Nights where you use the revo control?

Move about with the joystick, aim where you want the ball with the remote?

How about use two Revmotes to act as hands. So if ur a receiver, u run in place while swinging ur arms and extend to catch the ball.

Anyway, it sucks that everyone sourced the wrong site on this story. It was broken early last night by http://infendo.blogspot.com/

saying this as a completely straight male, i think Hideo Kojima is about as hot as it gets for a game developer.

he reminds of a more japanese, slighly older Bae Yong Joon (who is about as hot as it gets for a Korean soap actor).

I hope its a Revolution version of Boktai, that series has to be the best game for the GBA. I know that he is working on a DS verson, so why not make a Revolution for a total of 5 games?

hell yeah I remember Nintendo cereal! It had zelda on one side and mario on the other!

I remember the jingle:

"Nintendo! Super Mario Jumps! Nintendo! With a fruit flavored punch!"

"I hope its a Revolution version of Boktai, that series has to be the best game for the GBA" not according to reviews, i found it rather dull myself. paling even compared to the less gimmicky RPG's to grace the GBA.

Sounds like the revo is gonna be getting some good games.

As for how the controller works, im guessing the center position of the tv will be 0x and 0y.
moving the remote away from the x/y 0 coordinate will move the pointer on the screen at a speed consistent with how far away you are from x/y 0. Thats how i think it will work, anyone have a better opinion?

read it over a couple times if it doesnt make sense :(

#12, you need to work on your sense of what the hell we're talking about

who cares if he's ugly? we care about the games he's making!

Jacob the Great:

Go to IGN (or any other major gaming website) and check out the little video Nintendo put together for TGS. Oh yea...have you been living under a rock or something?

As for NiGHTS...

...wth is so good about this game? I have a Saturn (which I bought on eBay a few months back along with both NiGHTS and the Christmas version) and I don't see what is so great about this game. If that was SEGA's answer to Super Mario 64, then no wonder Super Mario 64 won.

In reply to Jacob the Great

to play a football game (like madden) you would just use the classic controller shell (which is rumored to be like a wavebird). You insert the remote into the shell and pay it like a normal game. But you can still use the motion sensing of the remote for additional control.

Also, MGS is one of my favorite series. I only wish I could play it on a Nintendo console (outside of classic metal gear). So I have high hopes for this game. Hopefully it's as great as it can be.

Wow, another person who has never heard of Twin Snakes! not to have a go at you, but nobody has heard of that game. and its so fantastic. best of both worlds; graphics of 2/3 and the story of 1, with extras. best MGS game I've played to date.

For Possibilities of Gameplay:

Jago: I saw the little video, and it is cool, but also weird. I just didn't understand how to play a football game, but earlier someone said how to throw and catch etc.

PS- I havn't been living under a rock, i'm just not as big of a game freak as everybody else.

as game developers go, though, Kojima is pretty attractive. googling him, it's a shame that so many pictures of his awkward hair parting phase show up. his hair such as in the photograph shown and assorted others is far cuter, although that's basically a given. i mean, he parted it.

i personally don't mind his button-ups. there's far more horrible prints in the world than those. at least they aren't hibiscus print... or from the International Male, for that matter.

The way the controller works is there are 2 sensors placed at the top and bottom of your tv. They use some form of crazy Nintendo triangulation to detect movement, both distance and velocity in each of the following ways: Horizontal (movement along the x axis), vertical (movement along the y axis), front to back (movement along the z axis), pitch (tilt around the x axis), yaw (tilt along the y axis) and roll (tilt around the z axis). There may also be some sort of gyroscopic function inherent in the controller to sense the pitch, yaw and roll, I wasn't entirely clear on that.

In a football game, there are several different ways you could use it. As a pointer to select plays. Use the nunchuck to move your runner around, while shifting the revmote (I like that word) to the sides for jukes & fakes, press the button to cycle through receivers, then push the revmote forward for a controlled pass. The farther you push it forward, the farther you pass. Receiver catches it automatically if you dont overthrow him, then you take over control of the receiver.

Not being a fan of sports or sports games, I couldn't begin to tell you how to use it on defense.

---

The 'conventional' gaming will be easy, a shell will go around the Rev. Controller for standard PS3 ports etc.

The real cool stuff will be FPS with a shotgun attachment, etc, or playing baseball games w/ this thing, etc.
