I said the graphics on most DS games SUCK!! The N64 had pretty good graphics AT THE TIME but that was then and this is now. I stand by what I said about the DS graphics.

And regarding my age or whatever the hell you meant. I've probably been playing games longer than you've been alive. The Intellivision was my first game console. I also had a Commodore 64. You do the math, moron.

One last thing, I don't hate Nintendo. I had a NES and SNES. After that, none of their systems have appealed to me. 'Nuff said.

I forgot to mention that even before the Commodore 64, I had a Commodore VIC-20.

Yeah, that's going back a few years. :-P

Why don't you take a survey and ask a bunch of gamers if graphics mean nothing to them? You will quickly find out that YOU are in the minority with that opinion.

And if graphics mean nothing, then why are there so many posters on this site singing the praises of the XBOX 360? ALL that system really offers are some pretty graphics.

Sony is not comparing the sale of the PSP and the DS, they provide data that can be used to compare the sales between their own consoles. And regarless of what you think of Sony or Nintendo, the results shown here just demonstrate that the PSP is doing better than any other Sony consoles previously sold. So yes I believe Sony can bragg about it...

Um, they're not bragging. They have about 8% of the portable market.. N has the rest. This is pointless. They dropped the ball releasing the PSP in Europe months late.. It had one good week (pre orders) then dropped like a rock.

The good DS games haven't even come out yet.. this is going to get really painful for Sony.

Do they care? Nah.. all they're trying to do is salvage their IP (resell old movies in another format, basically)

PS3 won't play UMD? Seems retarded right? Maybe Sony thinks some people will have to buy two versions of the same movie. Scary.

The PSP is still the best portable movie player to date.

Considering that Nintendo is in the portable gaming console for nearly 10 years, Sony taking 8% of the market with its first portable gaming console after only 10 months is pretty much a big success.

As for what is a best game, it is pretty much subjective too... if you consider taping on your screen to feed and play with a virtual dog is entertaining! And don:t forget that the good games for the PSP aren't out yet.

youpla, let's not forget that the best games on DS aren't out yet either. What must own games other than Infected and FF7:CC will come out for PSP? I want to know.

On DS, I know there is Mario Kart, Metroid, and Smash Bros for gaming online, wirelessly and in a portable, which sound fabulous and that was never implemented before on any of those games. There is also Zelda which I think will be fantastic considering it will exploit all DS features, and New Mario, which looks beautiful, so does Final Fantasy 3, and perhaps resident evil and castlevania but I don't know if these last two are must own, since RE is a remake and castlevania was rated an average of 8+. Let’s not forget compatibility with GBA.

As for present games, there is brain training which I want, and they're even making a sequel, I just hope they bring them to the west. Nintendogs looks amusing (if not must own).

On the PSP I know there is SFA3, Darkstalkers, Wipeout, and Twisted Metal, but they are all the exact same versions we got in PS1, or worse, except with better graphics. It pains me because I’ve never been disappointed with a PS console, specially because of the FF games, but I don’t know if a pseudo-sequel named FF7:CC will be better than a completely remade, never released before (in the west) FF3. I played GTA3, and it is fun, but after watching vice city, they both looked the same. My brother bought all three, and exchanged San Andreas; Why? It was still the same game. What’s the point in getting a GTA port which will unlikely be anything like the console versions? Hmm. I wish the PSP had a Hard disk the size of an iPod’s. That way it would be an iPod killer if it was also easy to use. In fact, if it didn’t have the UMD’s, and instead did a similar “iTunes” but for movies, where you can compress your DVDs into a 0.5 Gb file, or download movies for 5 or 10 dollars, that would rock. Too bad Sony is a selfish company and wants to keep making formats so it can tax the hell out of us.

Well, you could say that the only non-sequel, non-sim game, non-used franchise I mentioned was Infected, which is good for PSP.

Sorry to say but this comment itself sounds retarded, not the fact that the PS3 won't play UMD.

Who would like to play a video formated for the PSP on a HD TV system. UMD video are formated for the PSP screen and it would be pointless to watch them on anything else. PS3 owners will buy DVD or Blue ray etc... surely not UMD, so it would have been meanningless to add a UMD drive on the PS3, indeed a wise move from Sony.

And just to remind you where does Nintendo stands nowadays on the gaming market. They used to be the first, until Sony came out with the PS1 and the PS2... Now Sony significantly dominates the market.

people in australia wanted the psp so bad the people were importing thousand of the console 4 months before release date form japan and usa they had about 20 - 30 games on sale 1 week BEFORE release date and sold hundred of thousands on the first day
