It's been less than six months since SCi Entertainment Group played
the role of buyer and claimed Eidos as its own. Now SCi,
makers of Carmageddon and Conflict: Desert Storm, has confirmed that a few companies have approached it with takeover
offers. Among the potential suitors lies usual suspect Electronic Arts, JAMDAT owner Apax Partners, and Midway - the
latter of which has been looking for a way into the European market (SCi is based in the United Kingdom).
There are no definite plans or known concrete bids as of yet, but if Midway does indeed acquire SCi, let us all pray
that they do not follow recent trends and put Lara Croft
as a hidden character in a future Mortal Kombat game.
