O captain, my captain: Franky "Captain Jack" Gee dead at 43
Have you ever played Dance Dance Revolution and wondered who that insatiably charming man was singing
"Dream a Dream" was? That big old grin belonged to none other than Franky Gee, also known as "Captain Jack," a
successful European dance musician, has passed away at age 43, suffering a brain hemorrhage while visiting Spain.
Please give respect to a man who actually made "In the Navy" a hip song with which to play DDR.

He was warned about this some time ago, but did not change his ways, which was evident when he colapsed at a club/party in spain...

Time I do an hour marathon of "Captain Jack (Grandale Remix)" to honor this guy. Was my second favorite song on DDR (Matsuri Japan > all)
djSyndrome @ Dec 18th 2005 10:09PM
Why couldn't Riyu Kosaka drop dead instead?

We will all miss his great dance beats but our captain can now sail away while we honor him by dancing to the gifts he left us.

I am truly saddened by this unfortunate news.
Captain Jack
Only You
Could make me feel so true
What ever ever I can do
It's because of you.
Christopher @ Dec 18th 2005 10:09PM
R.I.P., Captain Jack. You shall be missed immensely. I shall make all the hoochi mamas throw their hands up for you, man. Looking at pictures on his site with all the hot ladies he was with... more than once I wished "Man, I wish I was Captain Jack."

Captain Jack, since I was a Little Boy, My Generation has been saying, "We need a Drill Instructor to make us Hush, Get Up, and get In The Navy". Only You could Take On Me, easy as 1-2-3. I have to say Iko Iko, Fly Away into the great unknown, and Dream A Little Dream.
I know I'll miss him. Today I'll have to pull up Captain Jack on the iPod and have a little tribute.

I listen to his songs since I was a little kid. He so ruled the 90's and will continue doing so!
He died the way he lived, which is arguably the best way to go.
Guess 4chan wasn't lying about his death. Tis a sad thing really. *listens to captain jack*
Coyote @ Dec 18th 2005 10:09PM
wow.. i had no idea who this guy was... but still pretty bad to get beat by the btards at 4chan on a news story, they were ranting about this all weekend
thanks for clearing up whoever this guy is tho i was confused there for a while
32_Footsteps @ Dec 18th 2005 10:09PM
The sad thng is, I had just listened to "Dancing Pompokolin" an hour or two before I learned the news.
White Rose Duelist @ Dec 18th 2005 10:09PM
I would say "rest in peace", but I think the Captain is more likely to start a dance party in Heaven. You'll be missed.

Captain Jack was my father. He was quite the pirate. Oh man I love Johnny Depp.
