That's right, in what they're advertising as the biggest prize in online tournament history, Electronic Arts will be
awarding $250,000 to the grand prize winner of their upcoming Battlefield 2: Modern Combat Best of the
Battlefield Tournament. In total, 256 clans of ten players each will duke it out for that shiny quarter-million bounty.
As a consolation prize, the clan placing second will take home a measly fifty grand, with a pittance of $10,000 going
to the runners-up of the Xbox and Playstation 2 brackets. Sign-ups start November 1st, and all spots are first come,
first served. Not a bad deal, since, after all, how often do you get a chance to
get paid to play video games?

Cant they just spend that money on improving the game? Fixing the tk issue or the frame rate drop from the last update?

Xeres: STFU
David and PiratePete: It is obviously a promotion just because the console versions just came out. I do not expect recurring contests from a PC game.
