This list is by no means comprehensive or final. Its just a nice listing that gives us some rough feel for when we can expect various already-announced Xbox 360 titles to be released. The closer a given date, the more likely it is to be accurate. There are also certainly titles under development that are not represented on this list.
For instance, Halo 3 is widely considered to be in development, but the announcement of that game wont be through a point-of-sales system at GameStop where any old employee can print it out. Youll know Halo 3 is near arrival when the annoyingly cryptic ARGs start up again.
OLC means online content will be available for download (perhaps for free and probably for pay).

I work at an EB, and our list looks about the same as the one linked above. The only problem with such lists is that a) they aren't updated as often as they could, and b) they change all the time. Many times a game, such as Ghost Recon 3, will be announced to have been pushed back and it will take up to a week (or longer) for our system to even recognize such changes. The rule we generally go by is that no date is "final" until a good two weeks ahead of time, and even then we've had suprises here and there (our P.O.S. system didn't update Advent Children's push-back to November until probably September 10th, which is only half a week from when it was supposed to come out state-side).
From what I understand, in the next one to two weeks, our P.O.S. will be merging with GameStop's, and all of our prices and release information will be the same, so it won't be long before our release lists are identical.

Oblivion pushed back to December? Ouch, a lot of people I know were looking forward to that game at launch :
Matt @ Dec 18th 2005 9:05PM
For the record, Halo 3 shows a 06/02/06 release date in EB release listings.
The_King @ Dec 18th 2005 9:05PM
3 of the 5 games i wanted are now pushed back till 2006
--i wonder if i should actually keep my preordered 360..
Oshi @ Dec 18th 2005 9:05PM
I want to play Elder Scrolls so bad. I think it will be cheaper to upgrade my PC instead of buying an xbox though.
PSP-Files.com @ Dec 18th 2005 9:05PM
Wow. Not much to look forward to for me after launch until March for Gears of War.
vc @ Dec 18th 2005 9:05PM
Be careful about drawing conclusions from these lists. As a poster noted above, they're inaccurate. This is a ROUGH GUIDELINE ONLY. If a game has been announced for launch, it will probably stay at launch.
Just add +/- three weeks to every date on here, except those pre Nov. 22 dates.
phez @ Dec 18th 2005 9:05PM
...however, some gamestop stores have already recieved X360 games :
mike @ Dec 18th 2005 9:05PM
one thing that make it look partly correct is that they have full auto as feb and that was only announced yesterday
asdf @ Dec 18th 2005 9:05PM
Elder Scrolls is coming out the week after the system, not that big of a deal.
Calibretto @ Dec 18th 2005 9:05PM
How is Lost Odyssey (from Mistwalker) listed as 01/02/06?! We've seen next to nothing from that game. I wouldn't be surprised if that date's a year off.
SilverScyth @ Dec 18th 2005 9:05PM
And Halo 3 aint coming in 2006. Expect the game to be released in 2007. Though we will get our first glimpse at the game in 2006.
Anonymous rep @ Dec 18th 2005 9:05PM
They've shown Halo 3 shipping in June of 2006 ever since Bill Gates said that PS3 would run into Halo 3 on launch date.
Doesn't mean a thing from the perspective of the game - just that someone got overly optimistic in setting dates.
Hell, the lists that WE'RE given aren't always right on schedule.
One other minor detail - just because a game has been released does NOT mean that it's automatically going to be available for sale. We were told that some of the EA games were going to be available on 11/15, as the list shows. Everything else is supposed to be street dated for the 22nd, regardless of when it releases.
Warren @ Dec 18th 2005 9:05PM
WOw a TES IV Collecters Edtion YES YES YES
dmek @ Dec 18th 2005 9:05PM
26 of those games are sequels or re-releases/ports. Exciting!
Sense @ Dec 18th 2005 9:05PM
For me it's all about Elder Scrolls. It's what I had originally pre-ordered along with my 360, until it got pushed back. Now I have Kameo on order. Anyway, if you're into Elder Scrolls go pick up the latest issue of Official Xbox Magazine, it's got a 6 part video feature on Oblivion. The physics alone make me want that game.
MNaylor @ Dec 18th 2005 9:05PM
Do any EB / GStop employees know how accurate the PGR3 date of Nov 17th is? I heard that it was being pushed back into Dec.
I'm a lucky winner of a pre-launch X360 and I'd be looking to trade in my free Madden or NFS:MW for PGR3 :D
Righteous Dork @ Dec 18th 2005 9:05PM
So MNaylor, did you win one from Mountain Dew? The every10minutes contest? I was kind of wondering if anyone is actually winning those. I have a hard time believing that over 9000 Xbox 360s will just be given away for drinking pop.
There's no way Halo3 will be launched in 2006. I believe the rumors about it coming out with the movie are probably closer to the truth. The folks at Bungie are good but there's no way they can crank out a new Halo game in less than a year. According to the posts on their website, it sounds like they just recently started development on a new project. Up until then, they were working on the new maps, testing them out, getting them ready for distribution and so on. Probably taking a much needed vacation, too.
helo @ Dec 18th 2005 9:05PM
Yes I could've sworn that PGR 3 was pushed back. Didn't I read it on here? At this rate, I'll actually have one game on my preorder list to play by launch day :-(
gamer @ Dec 18th 2005 9:05PM
i agree with #18 theres no way that bungie would release halo 3 within a year of the halo 2 launch, thats just not enough time to make halo 3 a good game. but i do think that the "new project" that bungie talks about is very possibly halo 3, because if bungie is in fact going to make halo 3, then for them to wait awhile to start making it, (unless they are not worried about making it a halfway decent game) then its going to take at least until early next year to launch
MNaylor @ Dec 18th 2005 9:05PM
Righteous Dork...I didn't win it on the Mountain Dew contest, I won it on the Canadian equivalent. Again from Pepsi, they are giving away 1 every hour (not 10 mins like the US, fewer people in Canada).
We should be getting our X360's before launch date as the name of the contest is "Be First To Play". We get either Madden or NFS:MW, so I want to trade one of those in for PGR3.
Former EB Employee @ Dec 18th 2005 9:05PM
These lists are not on the money, they are estimates for us to tell customers to get pre-orders, very rarely are they correct (unless its a month till release).
Odds are, since their marketing people know the system becomes available on November 22nd, they can assume X amount of games will be out around the same time, and probably have a 75% chance of being right too.
Todd H. @ Dec 18th 2005 9:05PM
Can't wait for Top Spin 2, the first one is highly addictive and one of my all time favorites...
John Lewis @ Dec 18th 2005 9:05PM
Anyone know why Burnout Revenge is pushed back until March? Has EA even officially announced this one?
LOKI @ Dec 18th 2005 9:05PM
They announced the March date for Burnout Revenge about a month ago.
Righteous Dork @ Dec 18th 2005 9:05PM
Wait....didn't Burnout Revenge just come out for Xbox? There's some new Burnout game out there.
Matt @ Dec 18th 2005 9:05PM
Burnout Revenge did "just come out" for Xbox/PS2 (and Legends for PSP), at least back in early September. My guess is the Xbox 360 version of Burnout is being re-worked, instead of 95% ported (ala Madden, and please, shinier uniforms and "fuller" stadiums are only slight polishes to the game... it's still an effortless and mostly direct port).
Capital @ Dec 18th 2005 9:05PM
Well actually Halo 3 will be released TWO years after Halo 2, if it does come out in 2006. But still i have to agree with you, id rather the team at bungie take more time. You must say that this is a pretty impressive launch. There is a wide variety of games that are likely come out on launch DAY!:)
PS For absolute no reason im gonna bring u a quick fact: USA owes Canada $5 billion in a soft-wood lumber dispute. Our prime minister went on CNN to urge you guys to pay. Cond. Rice is coming to Canada now to reach an agreement. We're your number 1 source of energy so if you dunt pay-lights out:)
firenze @ Dec 18th 2005 9:05PM
Well, due to NAFTA when there's a trade dispute between US-CAN it is sometimes cleared up by allowing economic retailiation by the wronged country (either through NAFTA or WTO dispute resolution processes). That retaliation might come as higher import tariffs on imported goods to offset the damage, and the taxes can be applied even to products in a different product category.
What does this all have to do with video games? Theoretically, it's possible that as a result Canada will impose higher taxes on imported Xbox 360s, a US product. That would mean the added taxes would RAISE the price of X360s to Canadian consumers (to hurt sales for the American company and exact some retribution for the wrongful activity in the lumber dispute).
Better just hope Condi Rice hammers out an agreement with your prime minister, or you could be paying even more for X360 systems and games. Not very likely, but it's possible! Watch out, my canuck gamer friends!
liljohn @ Dec 18th 2005 9:05PM
not to sound stupid or ne thing but will regular xbox games work on 360's?
john @ Dec 18th 2005 9:05PM
Liljohn, the word on the streets is that Microsoft only plans to make the popular xbox titles backwards compatible for the 360, so if your a fan of outlaw golf, than your out of luck.
Cheerios to the xbox 360 launch titles, Microsoft has been paying attention to the consumers, they really love us, this is apparent because King Kong is on the list.
Josh @ Dec 18th 2005 9:05PM
This doesn't look good...first being (perfect dark..regular vs limited...)...are slated 10 days separate...that's false..also kameo is early dec, not on launch...you can choose to trust these lists..but I wouldn't advise it...to each their own, but when you trust it and it's wrong...hate to say I told ya so...but didn't I? :)
Josh @ Dec 18th 2005 9:05PM
To response 29 about nafta...that's completely untrue, because microsoft has a base in canada...we're talking about bill gates, aka the human god of the world..the richest man alive and quite possibly the most intelligent..and seeing as he has a microsoft canadian based office, it's not foreign...---they can just make them there...also, this isn't something that would happen in retrospect of microsoft's past with american courts, as well as disputes with canadian laws...that's just absolutely rediculous
Josh @ Dec 18th 2005 9:05PM

Porkie @ Dec 18th 2005 9:05PM
so, can u not play regular xbox games on the 360, or can u???
Scott @ Dec 18th 2005 9:05PM
The list is legit, I have an identical one from my local GameStop. Like the other poster said, they change all the time. Similar lists exist for the Gamecube, PS2, GBA, & NDS.
