According to
Dark Horizons (via
Variety), Jason X
scribe Todd Farmer is set to adapt Capcom's Clock Tower 3 into a movie. This will be one of the first projects by the
Mayhem Project, a production company that launched in June and his headed up by Anthony Moswai, who had a hand in the
Lara Croft movies. The film's budget is expected to run between $10 million and $30 million and will begin production
in 2006.
The Clock Tower series began on the PlayStation One around the time of the original Resident Evil, and featured a very
disturbing villain with an unusually large pair of scissors. Clock Tower 3 centers around a girl, Alyssa, who returns
home on her 15th birthday to find herself caught in a plot most sinister. The game garnered
decent reviews, though most praised the game
for its story (which is a good sign for the film's future).
