Bloo, I'm getting all three systems, but I do think that 360 graphics are Xbox 1.5, not because they aren't next gen (let alone the lack of higher resolution support), but because the Xbox 1 was incredible at delivering awesome graphics, so the difference between Xbox 1 and Xbox 360 is much less than the difference between PS2 and PS3, even if they can compare to PS3 graphics.

Ok, we get it. 1.5. A minor upgrade. Thanks for going on and on about this in all your postings. It's funny and degrating.

I love how back when it was just Xbox and PS2, all the PS2 fanboys kept saying over and over again that it's the games that mattered and not the graphics. And now, suddenly, since the PS3 will have better graphics (due to more expesive hardware), all the Sony fanboys are praising their graphics and forgetting about the games. I always liked Xbox better, for the games, not the graphics. I'm not a HUGE RPG fan, but I do like them. That's why the lack of RPG's on Xbox didn't bother me. However, the 360 allready has a nice lineup of RPG's in store: Oblivion, [eM], and even FFXI. And there will be many more to come, WoW is even rumored (note: RUMORED). But I'm an action gamer, so Perfect Dark, Call of Duty 2, Quake 4, DOA4, Ghost Recon, and Prey are why I'm getting a 360 for the time being.

I own over 30 video game console and play over 30 video game consoles. i own all the current consoles and I have paid for my Xbox 360 in full and I am getting a PS3 and Revolution also. What I have observed in my experience is that yes not all consoles are created equal. But to the exception of a few. Ever console has always had an advantage over another. The big three will each have something that makes them unique and that is why us as gamers shouldn't fight over frivilous subjects and instead we should unite and bask in the spoils that these glorious consoles have to offer. In my opinion this should be the best battle since the 16 bit era. So to Sony, Microsoft, and Nintendo I wish you all the success in the world and to the winner of this round I salute you!

I am by no means a particular fan of any system but this is one time when I think that Sony is just doing way too much. True the other systems have their respective problems but at least they are somewhat focused on delivering a good product that people could really use. Like it or not, downlaodable content and Live are just great options for MS. But if Sony just did something along these lines I would have been more than happy

Why force people to by a product when the majority of the features wont be used? Especially right away. 120fps? Give me a break! 1080p? Really? Even Blu-Ray disks. Seven controllers? What?!?!?! I dont have a need for any of this shit. For those that say you do need them, you dont. You may WANT them but you dont need them. Its all BS.

I wish they put this much effort into showing us, the consumer, the freaking games, in game footage, and not any of the cgi crap that is out there.

Breaking news: Ken Kutaragi just announced, "The PS3 will cure cancer, negotiate peace in the middle east, clean your bedroom, walk your Nintendog for you, and run at 120 FPS. We're not sure if it will actually run video games yet but we'll have that all worked out by 2007."

BTW: F-zero GX ran on GCN at 60-80 fps and that was 2 years ago.

u know i heard that a ps3 is twice more powerfull than an xbox 360, 15x more powerfull than the nintendo revolution and 35x more power full than a ps2/ so all you xbox fans your blind not to see that the ps3 is the best console ever created yet and remember playstation 1,2,3(even 4 and 5)will always be better. so the creators of xbox shove the xbox 360 up you pipe... its just a matter of time before xbox 360 companies have to start eating from the trash can

On this topic, different types of games run on differetn frame rates because of how fast objects move in the game. This guy complaining about the 120fps has no knowledge of this I guess.. As Sony has boasted and not performed for some things in the past I suspect the frame rate cap would be somewhere closer to 100-110. For how much you pay for the system you should get that much. But Madden is no complarison to a max framerate statistic because it is a football game. If you've played one they dont need 120 fps. They are fairly slow moving games compared to a racing game or some other game where things move alot faster. Its competition that is turning out to be fairly negative now. Its a big industry and therefore more competition and more to fight for

120fps? That's interesting. Look, seriously this is just getting more and more stupid.

120 fps is THREE TIMES the rate your eye can see a difference.... so who will notice? Will they be writing games for robots now or something? Maybe speed cameras will play PS3 when the roads are clear.

30fps is not 60hz, 60hz is 60fps the screen is passed 60 times a second, although much tv is made in progressive so 2 frames make 1, but in games it's more common to have a different frame each pass (60fps) A film is 24fps yes but that is a passive experience, a game is more like real life you have to react and interact in it, so it needs to be smoother.

Over 60fps though is just a waste, it's hard to tell the difference really between 30 and 60 fps without really looking, but 60-120, not worth the processing power, and 720p whoopy doo, what do I care? I play the newest games on my PC in 1600x1200(sometimes 1920x1200) 60fps that's more resolution than 360 or PS3.

Hey daniel, do you actually know what you're talking about? 35x faster ass times smoother?

Are you some sort of computer buff and your brain can actually visualize what those STUPID numbers actually mean?
Come on, sony is just feeding us these numbers to impress us. Sadly, fanboys wolf down these statements right away using their asses for thinking over them instead of their brains.

Oh, and one more thing. Video games are not all about graphics and framerates and chip capabilities.
Games are after all... games so gameplay should also be considered. So far, Sony has not made any announcements as to hos PS3 could actually improve gameplay.

Xbox 360, though '15x less powerful' than the PS3 will still be able to compete with the 'superconsole' as long as it has decent games. Revolution, on the other hand, looks promising with their innovations. Those people at Nintendo actually think more of the gaming experience rather than focusing on the raw power of their systems.
