Diablo 3 has been cancelled. It was being made by blizzard and had an all new 3d engine but blizzard cancelled it to focus on WOW. Maybe it will be worked on in the future......

Thank GOD! I'm glad that story was false, and I pray that the real game will NOT be a MMO.

I dunno.
I tired of Diablo II pretty quicky. It seemed to be the same thing all the way through.

3 Warcraft games.
2 Diablo Games
1 Starcraft game.

What is wrong with that picture, and which one is the most popular and most deserving of a sequel (and also has the best story.)? Give us fricking Starcraft 2 Blizzard.

Let them take their time and do things right. You know there will eventually be sequels. They were both huge successes and it's obvious that any new games already have great name recognition and a base of people that are already clamoring to play. patience my friends, patience

The Blizzard team that worked on diablo formed flagship studios in 2003 and is currently working on Hellgate:London. Bliazzard will need to revamp that development team to get diablo III up to past standards.
here's the link http://www.flagshipstudios.com/

i actually don't think there will ever be another Diablo. while it's a great franchise, blizzard has moved on. they seem to be content creating patches for Diablo II (which do add a plethora of new material each time they are added now).

while i would love to see a Diablo III, it's not going to happen. besides, the end of Diablo II doesn't allow for it.

They can always retcon, #9. Just look at Monkey Island 2 and 3.

This would be a fantastic excuse for me to drop out of law school.
"Sorry world, I know it'd be a better place if I were an attorney, but....Diablo III!"

Two words for you: Come on. Anyone who says they don't want D3 is lying.

They wont let die a title like Diablo. Simply, they are waiting for the right time.

Why don't they kill off Diablo and start on Baal? Waaay back after diablo 1 came out, I heard that they were going to do one game on each of the brothers/demons.

In the expansion pack there was plenty of room left for a sequel when Tyrael said that destroying the worldstone would have consequences even he could not foresee. Though I don't think they will make a D3, atleast not for quite a long time. And if they do, they will probably ruin it by trying to make it another run of the mill MMO.
