If you tried stopping by a GameStop this past weekend to grab some
Nintendogs goodies onto your DS, there's a good chance you didn't get what you were looking for. Judging by
the visitor response to our previous story, it
seems that Nintendo didn't prepare all GameStop stores properly to supply Nintendogs hopefuls with their Duff
messages and starry sunglasses.
From the original press release, all 3,600
GameStops across the U.S. were supposed to play host to the
Nintendogs Tricks and Treats Weekend event from Oct.
28 through Oct. 30. Unfortunately, out of the five north Chicago stores this blogger contacted on Sunday, they either
did not receive a proper demo unit to set the promo up, or the Nintendo rep forgot to leave them enough instructions
(or even the right cartridge) to make things work.
Considering the inability of Nintendo to get the downloads working during
the Miyamoto visit to New York last month, perhaps we
should not be surprised that a Nintendogs event has been botched for some people who actually made the trip
out this past weekend. If the Big N is willing to put out a make-up date for those who missed this last event (for
whatever reason), all deprived DS dog owners would surely appreciate it. Anybody else miss out?
Nintendogs download disaster at GameStop?
