Take Two announces new GTA title for PSP

Grand Theft Auto: Liberty City StoriesTake 2 Games revised their revenue earnings for the fiscal years 2005 and 2006 today, and faster than you can say 'franchise dilution' comes word that a "new Grand Theft Auto title" will appear on the Sony PSP during the fiscal 2006 year.

The company has announced a reduced net sales expectation of approximately $1.18 billion for the fiscal year ending today, and a forecast of $1.4 billion for the fiscal year ending October 31, 2006. Liberty City Stories has received high (or highly inflated) acclaim lately, so it is no surprise that a sequel is being planned - any game with Grand Theft Auto will sell like hotcakes, right? I guess that's how Rockstar "'consistently avoids' the trap of creating shameless and unoriginal ripoffs."
