Eurogamer has confirmed that the
BBC's report of a 2007 PlayStation 3
launch was "just speculation." The journalist responsible for the report told Eurogamer that the 22-month figure
(the span between the Xbox 360 and PS3 launches) did not originate from an official source. So until further notice, we
must assume that Sony's next-gen console will be released in 2006 as planned.
