EA's
gone retro, further tainting Bond—the real Bond (Sean Connery)—legacy, in search of an answer to
the question: where is the love? Let's face it, EA has sunk this franchise into the ground. After last year's
misstep, Rogue Agent, EA has opted to return to the 3rd-person action perspective that made Everything or
Nothing a minor success. From Russia With Love? One word: mediocrity.
Critics' takes:
-
GameSpot (70/100) - "While it gives you lots of cool ideas for stuff to do, in addition to the tools with which to do them, the scenarios the game presents you with rarely require you to ever put them in motion."
-
OPM (60/100) - "...the overall game is just plain easier and more sedentary feeling when compared to [Everything or Nothing]."
-
Yahoo! Games (60/100) - "Players are handed everything on a platter, with no need to think, feel, or even really play. The next game should just complete the picture by including a gadget that would play it for you. That would be innovative and let us spend time playing the few good Bond games, instead of watered down follow-ups."
