Belmonts on the big screen: Castlevania movie confirmed

With films based on Halo, Postal, and a catalog of other gaming titles scheduled for production, it comes as little surprise to see Konami's popular Castlevania franchise taking the Hollywood plunge. Alien vs. Predator director Paul Anderson has been tapped to write and direct the big screen debut of clan Belmont as part of a deal with Crystal Sky Pictures and Impact Pictures. Hopefully, they'll tone down the androgynous look and feel of the recent games or else they'll have to cast actresses for the male roles. Great, Peter Pan takes on Dracula.
