Drumline and Mr. 3000 director....why oh why do video game adaptations always have to be so lame. I'll be shocked if this turns out to be halfway decent.

Actually I was thinking he was black, but that's Balrog from the SF series. Fortunatly I was lucky enough to catch the Street Figher movie on Spike last night. That movie is so bad it's good.

Here is a link I found for the boxer, Steve Fox.

Actually, robotplauge, Drumline got generally pretty good reviews getting a 63 on metacritic and a 77 on rottentomatoes. Mr. 3000 wasn't as good according to the critics, but it wasn't universally panned either getting a 57 on both of those sites.

So what does that mean? Probably not all that much but I wouldn't worry so much over the director. True, the movie isn't getting a Spielberg but he's not a Uwe Boll either.

Shouldn't he be cast as Marshall Law? or Li? *Sarcasm* Man I hope they cast Dwayne Johnson */Sarcasm* *sigh* Every time they cast the "Rock" a kitten is dragged into the street and beaten.

And I'd be a little suspect of the article's meaning of "the boxer." They describe Tekken as a "three-D wrestle game" and the tournament as a "boxing competition." Hmm... chinese boxing perhaps?

They need the guy who played 'Ting" in Ong Bak...that's a serious martial artist. Also, to play as the jeet kun do user in tekken, they can get the afro dude who wore a black suit in Ong Bak as well. I doubt there would be a problem with using skilled fighters for the movie.

Just to clarify, what we consider to be martial arts/kung fu is often translated as "boxing." For example in Drunken Master, Jackie Chan is said to practice "Drunken Boxing" not "Drunken Kung Fu."

So boxing could be just about anything.

That would be extremely strange as steve fox, but I think he'd do a great Feng Wei or wang jinrei.. I mean they're both mandarin speakers too in common.. :D

The movie will probibly be awfull.......

But on the contrary i think if the right people are cast it could be interesting!

I would choose :

Lei Wulong = Jackie Chan
Forest Law = random bruce lee look a like
Jin Kazama = *Takeshi Kaneshiro
Ling Xiaoyu = *Vicky Zhao
Craig Marduk = *Nathan Jones
Beak Do San = Steven Segal (forget he should be Korean :)
Paul Pheonix = Ben Affleck (Blond)
Christie Montiero = Salma Hiek
Raven = Wesley Snipes
Bryan Fury = Everett Mcgill, Roy Batty(blade runner)
Yoshimitsu = Chris Rock (What fuckin difference does it make?)
Ganryu = Samo Hung
Law = *Jet Li
Ogre = Roy Cheung Yiu-Yeung
Julia Chang = Natalie Portman
Michelle Chang = (some who looks like natalie portman)
Hwoarang = Stephen Fung Tak-Lun
Kazuya Mashima = Yuen Biao
King/Armour King = Big Muscley Men
Jun Kazama = Cecilia Yip Tung
Asuka Kazama = Gigi Leung Wing-Kei

This movie will gonna be nice if they'll gonna make this a fully animated and graphical effects... Jet Li as Steve Fox? Isn't it that it will be nicer if Jet Li will be cast as Jin Kazama as a Lead Actor? because he is a Chinese and not an American... A Martial Artist and not a Boxer... looks like Jet Li will be more fit to act as Jin I think...
