Just wanted I wanted for Christmas, a harmony remote. Cool, now I can get this one instead.

I wonder if they'll make Nintendo version.

Lazyness? With the amount of work I need to put in to afford this thing, I'd more likely call it a waste...

"sometimes it's hard for me to get up from bed because I weight around 300 pounds. I think this remote will come in handy"

I hope that's a joke. Otherwise, it's pathetic.

I had the normal home-theater variant of this remote - The Harmony 520. While it was an amazing piece of electronics and automates various tasks associated with your normal A/V entertainment, the serious downfall of this remote is its fragility. The remote is a work of art, but if you drop it accidentally onto a hard surface, you can kiss it goodbye. Or at least that's what happened to me when my nephew threw the remote down from 4ft height.

Amazing piece of electronics and a sort of magic wand for controlling a complicated A/V setup, but its too fragile to last in a slightly rough usage environment.

I have a Harmony 680 that I use with my Media Center PC. For my wife it does a great job of taking the "scary" complexity out of controlling multiple devices with multiple inputs, which to me is priceless. Without it she would still be fighting me on using the media center PC. I plan on selling my current one to my buddy and picking this one up when it is released. My plan is to move the media center and current gen xbox to another room and use the extender functionality of the 360 to watch tv and such on my HD set.

Remeber, this is not just another generic universal remote. I have tried many different universal controllers and none are as easy to program and use as the Harmony line of remotes.

I like $120 remotes that can do what 30 seconds of extreme finger/hand exertion can accomplish! I shall bask in the glorious light of this gift from above! Praise Logitech!

I have the Logitech Harmony 659 and its completely worth it when you have a system that would normally require many different remotes (7 in my case). They usually ship for much less from certain online sellers than Logitech's MSRP, so it might be much cheaper.

Love the design. If it can handle RF I'm sold- hell I'm probably sold even if it can't. Being designed specifically for the 360 means one less remote (my HT setup has EIGHT remotes) to teach the damn thing. I was considering the Pronto but have been told about the Harmony series. Never used a Harmony- I assume for the price they have full learning capabilities and macro functions for all my other toys as well...
Certainly looks cool, and compared to the Pronto $129 seems pretty darn reasonable. Any opinions?

Is nothing cheap these days? I feel like I need to sell my soul to afford most of the electronics out there. No thanks, I get and walk.

Seems that the most of you posting only have 1 component in mind for this remote. I want a remote like this because I have around 7 components like the post above me. If I wanted to turn the 360 on then I would use THE controller but if want to turn around 7 devices on at once then I would use this like it's made to do. So yes this seems like a good idea FOR ME, not just anyone looking to turn on their console.

$130 for a remote? I think I'll pass and use the one I'm getting free with my Xbox 360.

Man, this is funny. This is the second cheapest remote they make and everyone is complaining about the price. Take a look at the prices of other high end remotes (this is NOT high end) and then come back and say this is expensive.

not a bad looking remote, I probably wont ever buy one, but still its nice. I'll likely get the 30 dollar one.

It annoys me that people use the word "lazy" so much.....I like the word "convienence". people who call other people lazy, do the same things as them...they just dont think about it...like using a remote to turn on your tv...or just flip a switch to turn on lights...or drive there call versus riding a bike. anyone who uses the word lazy is a hypocrit!

Here's the beauty of this remote. With a normal setup, it takes these steps.
1. Turn on TV.
2. Set tv to video input 1 (or component or HDMI or whatever.
3. Turn on audio receiver.
4. Set audio receiver to proper input.
5. Adjust volume of audio receiver.
6. Turn on Xbox (or dvd player or satellite receiver).
7. Play Xbox or watch dvd or TV.

With the harmony remotes, you just hit the "Play Xbox," "Watch DVD" or "Watch TV" button and steps 1-6 are combined into one. Just play or watch. This remote got rid of my tv remote, satellite remote, dvd remote, xbox remote, surround sound remote and it even controlls the infra-red switch I installed for my ceiling fan. I like my 676 so much that I went and bought a second one for my bedroom, which only has a TV, VCR and DVD player.

GET THIS REMOTE. Or, if anyone wants, you can buy my Logitech 676 for a discount (like $75) and I'll go out and get this one.

I bought one at Best Buy and like it alot for the most part. The only problem is it has locked up a couple times requiring me to take out the batteries to rest it. I also fails to turn on my TV every once in a while. I might exchange it for another one or maybe the Harmony 880.
