Does console ascendancy have a pattern? If the last 20 years of gaming are any indication,
maybe. Nintendo owned it early on for the first ten years of modern console gaming, and many thought the
company would stay on top when Sony got into the game. Now Sony has held the reigns for the past ten years
against two major competitors, and a new gaming decade is upon us.
