Xeni over at BoingBoing covered professional gaming superstar
FATAL1TY today for NPR's Day to Day. Much of the story focused
on the branding of FATAL1TY as an "athlete" and spokesman for his own line of hardware and gaming accessories.
Compare this to other athletes who also sell a product like Michael Jordan and his eponymous sneaker and the practice
is hardly controversial.
FATAL1TY is set to compete for $150k in next week's CPL where he's already a five-time winner. Don't forget, MTV
is set to provide coverage of this in their week long
"assault" on gamers.
