Voting has ended and winners have been announced to receive a 2'x2' square at Sony's
Metreon in San Francisco. It came down to John Carmack against Will Wright
and Sid Meier against Toru Iwatani in the creators category with Carmack and Meier winning out in the end. Also
honored are Sony's own EverQuest, Final Fantasy, StarCraft, and Lara Croft
herself.
Last year's winners didn't feature any games, just
creators and characters, which would have grown old pretty fast. How about Jill Valentine, the "master of
unlocking" or that sometimes-naked guy from Ghosts 'n Goblins.
