Solid Metal Gear headed to PSP
According to French gaming site, jeux-france.com, Hideo Kojima has
confirmed (via his blog) the development of a new Metal Gear title for the Sony PSP. To be clear, this is not
another Acid sequel. Apparently, Kojima got together with Shinta Nojiri (Metal Gear Acid 2), Noriaki
Okamura (Zone of the Enders), and several others to toss around ideas. Eventually,
the group
Hideo Kojima deemed several suggestions "satisfactory," thus beginning the initial phase of production. Could this mean
that the Metal Gear Solid series is finally headed to the PSP?
[Thanks, Ruari]

I certainly hope it is true. That would be awesome. Solid would work well I think (as long as some people don't freak out at the cell shading that they're working on for AC!D 2 since AC!D 1 had some crazy slowdown). I also hope they don't kill off the AC!D series. I've enjoyed it thus far.

Meh
Splinter Cell has taken the stealth genre so far beyond the Metal Gear series. Unless Metal Gear really steps up to the plate, the same-old-same-old won't cut it any more.

'Bout flipping time! I have said from day 1 that putting the Solid series onto the PSP is the best possible move Konami could make. dear god i hope it's going to happen

Sorry 4 I'd rather have tons of action and a great story with some stealth on the side than boring realistic Splinter Cell.

#4 how on earth is Metal Gear Solid same-old same-old? Metal Gear Solid 3 was designed to be played very differently than MGS2. The whole hiding in plain site idea, instead of evade like in MGS2 and 1. I'll stick with MGS.

THIS IS TOTALLY A-W-E-S-O-M-E~!!!
MGA and MGS series' would benefit the PSP enormously~ It's a sure win.
I wouldn't like any of the Metal Gear titles to go across to the Xbox360 though, that's an insult. The PS3 should push Kojima's imagination to the maximum like he always has, not hinder him by trying to port them to the Xbox360. Stick with the PS3 kojima, the format wars and the next gen wars will be dominated by Sony again.
The shoddy launch of the Xbox 360 is laughable as most are PC ports or available on other formats, which leaves hardly any exclusives or any real "HD" games. Wait for the PS3 people, it's gonna be great.
The Revolution sounds good too for the FPS light gun ideas~

Just like I mentioned to a few friends of mine. MGS;1 for the PSP. Not even a remake. A PORT!!! I wouldn't care less. PSP could even handle ports from the old Playstation.
