One of the biggest events in the competitive gaming calendar starts today in Singapore. The World Cyber Games Grand
Final will see gamers from 67 countries around the world pitting it out in order to win some seriously large prizes.
With the total prize money standing at $435,000, now's the chance for some gamers to make it big.
The tournament focus - i.e. the biggest prize money - is on Counter-Strike, just like
last year's finals, but console gaming makes an appearance
this year with Halo 2 being the tournament's FPS console game of choice.
Other games featuring in the tournament are FIFA Soccer 2005, Need for Speed: Underground 2,
StarCraft: Brood War, Warcraft 3: The Frozen Throne, Warhammer 40,000: Dawn of War and
Dead or Alive Ultimate. There's also a special tournament on Freestyle.
Each country's team has worked hard to get to the finals
and the competition is going to be fierce. If you can't make it to Singapore, never fear, as
WCG TV will enable you to watch every moment of
action via the Internet while you sharpen your skills for next year.
