The launch day stockpile of Perfect Dark Zeroes
(700,000 units) was manufactured without certification. Rare took a big gamble in order to meet the November 22
street date, opting to bypass the final stage of production. The certification process typically takes 12 to 14
days, but missing day one was not an option. Apparently, the Microsoft certification team has now OK'ed the game,
but one has to wonder if there aren't a few bugs lurking in this initial shipment.
Speaking of PDZ, where is it? What happened to Microsoft's proposed Halo-esque ad campaign? It's been awfully quiet… wait… can you smell that? Is that the scent of utter disappointment?...
[UPDATE: We have played it!]
