"A couple more titles with reviews this strong might make the 360’s one of the strongest console launches ever."

Worst. Claim. Ever.
For shame, Joystiq.

I think they need a Kameo face plate. Did you all invite any of your readers to the party?

worst claim ever? how many PS2 or dreamcast titles got 10/10 or 9/10 reviews at there launch? If PDZ or DOA4 comes through (1up and ign are reviewing PDZ right now) then this launch lineup will contain three titles with a 9/10 or better, and a few getting 8's (condemned, madden) That's pretty good if you ask me, considering the number of shitty games out there. If 4 or 5 out of 18 games score an 8 or higher with the rest getting mediocre scores like 6 or 7's how can you not make that claim? The way it looks right now no game from the launch is getting less than a 6/10.

PGR3 is not worth spending $400 on...it's expected that all the next-gen games are gonna have awesome graphics so that shouldn't a huge selling point.

We were having a mini-tournament here at work and while it was fun & pretty...it is not worth spending $300-400 on.

I dunno, Joystiq. I'm sure it's good and all, but there's just no way that you can put this launch lineup even in a lifeboat outside of the grand ocean liner of fun that was the Dreamcast launch lineup.

I could stoop to your level and respond like you did to me but I won't.

With that said...there are people who buy systems b/c of one game. Ever heard of a little game called "Halo"? Plus there are people who hold off on buying a particular system b/c they are waiting till it has a specific game.

If Peter Moore had said his "greatest launch titles in the history of game" thing when he was promoting the Dreamcast, I would have believed him alot more then with the X360 launch...and I wasn't a fan of the Dreamcast when it launch either.
