dude i gots built in the wall spearkers Von Schweikert Audio VR-1's all handbuilt speakers, the ones MTV uses in their recording studios. I had to wait 6 months for the man to personally build them for me. add a 65 in. HD DLP and you've go yourself the best XBOX360 setup ever. (Cost:14,000) P.S. dont call me undedicated to XBOX

OK, for all us audiophiles/audio geeks out here, exactly what ARE those speakers? And what are you driving them with?

They look a bit like Paradigm's Espirit towers and Titan or Focus bookshelves for the rears, with a PDR10 or something for the sub - but I could be way off. TELL US ALREADY!

I can't even see the receiver, but I'm going to assume it's at least a Yamaha, maybe a Denon. (Just be careful with the center on top of it, guys! Modern receivers put out a LOT of heat!)

Scott, the uncovered wires hopefully give us some street cred in the LAN underground. =) The situation's temporary, though, so there's no need to make it all pretty.

Chris'll post an update regarding the speaker setup shortly.

Hey Joystiq

How come you got a metal briefcase and a black xbox 360? because that black design looks awsome :) and well so does the white but just wondering if there are gonna be black and white boxes next year ;)

I got a 6.1 surround sound system over the summer. The 6th speaker is center-rear and is pretty much just emulated between the two rear speakers since there isnt much that actually has sound specifically for that channel. I mostly got it because its receiver was the only one I found with 2 component inputs and more than one optical input (though one is not attached to a video channel so its basically useless)

I've got a projector too but I kept all my equipment at the front of the room so I have a 25 foot component cable (cheap one, it definately does the job though) running back to the projector. I got to take a 360 home from work one night to test something. Naturally I hooked it all up to my system and was totally and completely blown away by how good it looked and sounded. I can't wait to have a retail console of my own.

You have got to be kidding me. A folding chair?? lol The "screen", errr wall you have is classic. I'm currently using remote power Dalite (110") screen celing retractable, and a complete audio matched 7.1 Polk Speaker system. It would take far to long to describe all the audio. Trust me, it's some of the best. "A wall????" that was great. I do have the same panasonic though, nice. and no problems with the 360..
