We've finally begun to fiddle with
Kameo—that is, after tearing ourselves away from
setting the latest high score on a certain Live Arcade game you might've heard us raving
about.
As you can see, Kameo's been waiting a long time for us to get over our illusions of gameplay-over-graphics grandeur,
so we shant keep the "blossoming" Princess of Power any longer.
For the past hour, we've been experimenting with the game. First, we started the game in Co-Operative mode and played
that until we realized we weren't getting any of the storyline. We then started over in single-player to experience the
game as its makers intended it. Impressions so far? The camera system frustrated us in co-op mode, but has worked well
so far in single-player mode. The textures, voice-overs, physical action, and so on are impressive, but the three of us
are divided on the character designs.
We'll finish the game tonight and post a full review, including, hopefully, some resolution on whether the character
design of Kameo ultimately succeeds or fails.

Indeed, the character design is one of the weak points. I've been switching between Hexic and this all day.

Kameo looks fine, and she should as the main character. Mystic-- no just no.
No go on PGR3 (don't have it yet), and I can't get on xbox live. I get booted out. I called tech support and they said they weren't allowing anyone online until the 22nd. Is that true? How are you online?

Luke: power brick stays nice and cool. It's got a fan inside of it.

I ended up getting Kameo with the every10minutes delivery today. I am super impressed thus far. The story is a bit weak at times, but I think the gameplay has been extremely good thus far. It feels fresh and interesting. It's not the greatest game ever, but it's a great game. It definately is every bit as good as most of Rare's work on the N64. It also has stayed away from too much collectormania thus far. I probably have a few hours left in the game. Hopefully it ends well. Either way I have to say that Kameo is a plesant suprise.
