I know you have to purchase Live! points, which you may 'spend' as you choose, but is it possible to earn these points in other ways? Like reaching a milestone in a game - would that give you points, or if you won an online tournament or something?

Are you able to create your own gamer tile, or are you restricted to using only those which are supplied with the system or downloaded from the marketplace?

some of the prices on Marketplace items are crazy, we should be talking 5 cents or free for a picture, 60 cents a gamer theme, reduce gamertag changes by 1/2, and reduce all XBL Arcade prices by 33-50%. MS has to realize that they are "microtransactions" not $8.00 for gamertag change and $5-15 for an arcade game.

Me, I'm definitely getting a gamertag change, a different picture, and Bejewled 2 because that is a fun game, unless Hexic is good enough. I'll stick with the default theme, thank you. I don't want my dashboard advertising a game I already have.

Where do you see anything about charging for a gamertag change?

Changing your gamertag is actually $10 USD, or 800pts.

The prices look a little better than those of the current(well xbox 1) Live Arcade.

Charging us for the photos is lame. All the photos that are available are just Ads for games in disguise anyhow.

What? Now we are paying THEM to put their advertising on us? How'd they pull that one off?

@ Alan:
Haven't you ever bought a name brand shirt or pair of jeans with the name of the company emblazoned on it somewhere? I mean, I agree that we shouldn't have to pay to advertise for a company, but honestly, we as a culture have been doing it for YEARS!

As for Live Arcade, I'm pretty psyched and yes, the cost is a little lower than the current gen Live Arcade. I loved playing PGR2 and Geometry Wars (which was a built in hidden game) was a great way to break the tension of racing.

#6 Gotta disagree with you there. If I wanted to play old Nintendo games they're sitting in a folder on my computer right now. Had 'em on my PSP too. Guess what? Deleted them. They get old real fast. Once you get over the nostalgic factor, it's not much fun playing a bunch of games you beat 20 years ago. I'm looking forward to new arcade titles on Live Arcade like Geometry Wars. So, for me, Live Arcade > Nintendo Backcatalog.
