Someway, somehow, you knew this was bound to happen. Someone's come up with a way to turn the PSP into a GPS device, which sort of makes all that scrimping and saving to come up with the 250 bucks that much more rewarding. Cleverly dubbed GPSP, the hefty 185MB download includes a how-to guide on the software (like Lua Player, for instance) and hardware you'll need to get your new plaything up and running.
It looks like quite a bit of modding may be in order though, since we can't imagine how portable the PSP will be with the antenna on. With all the bulky add-ons we've been seeing lately (Datel's 4GB HDD, all those PSP to TV hardware hacks), I wouldn't be surprised if people started dropping the term "portable" from its name and replacing it with the word "portly".
