Unseen Xbox 360 ad emphasizes gunplay
We've covered Microsoft's brand-driven "Jump In" commercials before, even the Japanese ones, but there was one ad they created that was never aired.
Monday's Seattle Post-Intelligencer reveals details of the "Stand Off" ad. Similar to the group play emphasized in earlier ads like jump roping and a water balloon fight, this ad features commuters on a subway platform "shooting" with their fingers, yelling "bang!", and pretending to be shot. While it might seem innocuous, Microsoft decided to deliver the ad instead to a group that seemed more likely to appreciate it: gamers.
It was reported to have had its debut at the not-so-secret Zero Hour event tonight. We'll keep our eyes open for a copy if it makes it to the internets. Any readers who were there able to report on this ad, or provide any cameraphone videos?

I sure hope no one tries to make this another way to make gaming sound bad or whatever. I hate that crap. Well, hope everyone that went to zero hour had a good time.

Fingerbang !! That sounds dirrrty.. More Jack Thomson fodder, and may not be Microsoft's finest hour, if and when it airs.

Running around with a finger gun yelling bang? Yes I can see how this is a mighty threat to society and should be censored from our viewing.
FFS people, its a damed cowboys and indians reference which we all played as kids. Maybe we should all just drug ourselves and our kids into a stupor so as to not offend or experience anything that could offend anyone else.
Anyone have a link to the commercial? I'd like to see it.
