10 reasons to wait for a PS3

PS3.IGN.com has listed 10 reasons why you should eschew the Xbox 360 and wait until the PlayStation 3 comes out. While some are silly flamebait (#7: "You can still pre-order... the PS3 still lets you do this. The Xbox 360, on the other hand, does not.") others are either accurate statements or legitimate concerns. We have compiled some here with commentary.
- #9: Dual-Screen and 1080p Support. This is true; however, 1080p screens are significantly more expensive. And having two screens seems outrageous, not only logistically but financially. Are developers really going to support this. For multiplayer, why not just use Liv... oh yeah. Sorry.
- #8: Heft Expandability / Connectivity Options. Since the 360 has USB2, it's feasible for them to add support for anything from Bluetooth to a multi-card reader. So what's the point again?
- #6: Seven-Player Wireless Support. I would be surprised if that many people used four player wireless support. That's why they have Xbox Live.
- #4: Full Backwards Compatibility. Which hasn't been confirmed by anyone. We'll see.
- #1 Blu-Ray Player. If content comes out, this could be something that really stratifies the different consoles. Maybe if the 360 serves as a more open video delivery platform the entire notion of phsical media will be obsolete. Maybe.
So there you have it. 10 reasons to wait for the PS3. Before you all explode, I think we forgot to mention they also published "
