Let's get this over with: I don't have HDTV, I don't like racing or sports games, the Kameo demo turned me off of a game I had been looking forward to, and Oblivion's delayed.

i was at this x360 preview event one month ago ( won a competition) and tried kameo, pgr3 and doa4... i didnt like any of the games much i have to say.. and i dont like fps on console with a controller, its so slow and yuck..... so there really is no games that iam interested in for now.. at first i was planning to wish for an x360 for christmas and buy a 23" samsung hdtv but then i gave it some thought and found out i really hate fps's on console, and that i'm not interested in any of the launch games.. so im building me a new computer instead.. then i can play games for free ;p

F.E.A.R., AOE3, Serious Sam 2, Call of Duty 2 <3, Far Cry (yeah i still love it ), HL2 again, HL2 Lost Coast and soon (well, hopefully soon atleast) HL2 Aftermath.. +++ pc gamers are having a real nice period now.. :D

I'm looking forward to call of duty 2 and quake 4. I might get ridge racer 6 also.

So anyone know when the Xbox 1080 will come out? A year and a half? :P

Anyways, back to the launch.

I don't really see a purpose in getting the console THE VERY FIRST DAY. Maybe some of you guys are overly anxious and excited to get your hands on an Xbox 360, but I have the patience to wait a few months and save a couple dollars to use on a game.

Well, I watched the G4 coverage (Adam Sessler has to be the most cynical person ever :-/) and every game got stellar reviews; Call of Duty 2 got a 5/5. Sounds like it has strong launch titles to me.

Rent quake 4 first and try it for yourself.

Thats it...Im gonna spend $5000. on a quad core pumped 64 bit pc with 2 SLI carded muthas and 4 gigs a ram just so that I can boast how crap a 360 looks which cosst a tenth of what I spend.

Yea...right. That would true BUT the freakin game engine is capped at 60fps. Even if you were to get around that you would need something more powerful then a LOW END Geforce 6 series card.

I just bought mine 15 mins ago from eStarland.com! They sent me an email at 12:15 saying they would start selling a small quanitity at 12:30 as only the premium pack and no bundle BS and at 12:43 they were sold out.... go figure ... !

I think Microsoft will do very well this time around, I think they did a great job with the Xbox being how Nintendo & Sony dominated the market, and now with the Xbox 360 I think Microsoft (although getting there product out first) will sell around the same amount of consoles as the PS3...which isn't that damn bad.

I hope to be able to scrounge the money for the 360...but it wont be for a few months, i'll probably get it when the PS3 comes out, since its likely that they will lower the price at that time by 50 bucks or so.

I think they have some solid games like: NFS Most Wanted, Ninty Nine Nights, Saints Row, COD 2, those 4 are my current favs.

It's not the console,it's the programmers. The 360 could easily match any computer playing quake 4 if they took the time to do it right.

I get my 360 tomorrow and Im so excited, mostly for Live features but I've also picked up PDZ, PGR3, and maybe ill grab Condemned tomorrow as well. The console seems great, anyone who can afford one should check it out...those that cant afford one flame on...

I own a PC with a X800XT PE and I gotta tell you i wouldn't waste the time of day playing Quake 4 anyways...its a POS...anyone using that as a guage vs. the 360 has no taste in games anyways...Im looking at you DLS...

Anyways, I think that when you put the console launch within the context of previous console launches, the 360 holds up rather well in terms of games. The graphics seem solid, better than anything on current gen, and I'm sure that they will steadily improve. I would imagine that game developers aren't sure how to effectively and efficiently develop for the system yet.

I do think that microsoft jumped the gun for 360 just to get a head start on the PS3. I'm not sure that the power of the current gen was tapped just yet. Just the past couple months, some truly great current gen games have been released.

I think I'm going to hold of on the 360 and get a PS2 to compliment my Xbox and Gamecube. There are a ton of good games that I haven't been privy to. However, I'd love to be playing PDZ and PGR3 right now.

I went out a few hours ago, before most of the stores started closing. I was just curious and wanted to see for myself what kind of scene the 360 launch was causing in my area.

At Circuit City I was told they had received only 14 of the original 26 units they had been promised. No problem though from what I saw because there were only 8 people camping outside waiting for a 360.

Next I went to Toys R Us. There were only 6 people there waiting outside for a 360. While inside I watched someone playing Call Of Duty 2. I have come to the conclusion that the 360 is nothing more than a graphics-upgrade of the first Xbox.

From what I saw, there were no big crowds or long lines of people waiting for a 360. By the way, I was in the Poughkeepsie, New York area. The trip wasn't a total waste of time though. I bought some PS2 and Xbox games while I was out. Honestly, at the present time, I would rather buy a Nintendo DS than an Xbox 360.

yeah, i do agree with what #46 was saying, about wanting to buy a DS more than a 360. yes, that's what i'm feeling right now, the DS has just so much more interesting games compared to the 360 launch line-up which has only... 1... 2... 3... exclusive games!!! and none of them stands out. all style no substance.

i might give the 360 more time, cos hey, even the DS doesn't have any must-have titles on launch, either. but we'll see... but now i'm gonna save up for a DS.

I have mine. Got it a few hours ago. Im downloading a movie at the moment so i thought i would post. I like the system alot and Madden Blows my mind. I bought PGR, PD, Call Of Duty and Madden. So far no complaint about any of them. I hope all who wish to wait until the next console comes out shuts up and lets those who decided to buy this one enjoy their moment. I will buy the next two as well if they give me games i want and I will enjoy them too. But for now, im playing the box and lovine it.

What does everyone keep saying that Madden "blows their mind"? It is the EXACT same game as the Xbox/PS2 versions except it has better graphics, some better animations and maybe some minor added extras...how does that make the game "mind blowing"?

Ha ha, I can't believe the complete lack of moderation on this site. The 360 is one sexy system but theres no way I'll ever spend money on a console when my computer can do so much more. DLS is a complete moron though. Quate 4 running terribly on the XBOX 360 has nothing to do with its hardware. Programmers have not figured out what to do with all the threads from the , what is it, tripple-core processor. I think the games can only get better as programmers learn to use the 360's true power. Still though, I'm not buying one.

Question about video on the 360. If you have an external hdd with some videos on it can you connect it to your xbox and play them?

Picked up my 360 at about 1:30 am at wal-mart. Playing Condemned. This thing will not flop... I'll telling you... I am impressed. I was skeptical because of all the talk recently and some of the screenshots but man... If this is what we have to look forward to... wow! I'm very impressed.

For anyone who has slammed me for the past few weeks for pointing out the original XBox had a ridiculous failure rate on Thompson DVD drives and power supplies or for pointing out that blue screens of death on a console about to launch in a week is a bad sign... Have fun with this one.
